What're the Best Ways to Make a Decanter Centrifuge?

Do you still remember that we Solvedrilling shared a post called “How to drill oil at your backyard”? En…today, we will share an article about how to make a centrifuge at your home.

As we all know that centrifuge is used wildly in many fields, such as in oil and gas drilling field, we will need decanter centrifuge; while in medical industry, we also need centrifuge. So, how to make a mini centrifuge just at your own home backyard?
Generally speaking, centrifuges are used by biologists around the world to separate out different parts of a heterogeneous liquid mixture; however, they're often not feasible for the casual scientist. Using a few household items and some elbow grease, you can make your own.

When you want to make a centrifuge yourself at home, please follow the following steps.

1
Remove one paddle from your hand-powered egg beater. This is necessary so that your plastic tubing doesn't get tangled as you're cranking it.

2
Cut a length of polyethylene (PE) tubing to fit the amount of liquid you wish to separate.

3
Fill the tubing with the liquid in question and tape it onto the remaining beater paddle with electrical tape. Taping the tube farther down the paddle with help you harness the maximum amount of kinetic energy with each turn, separating the liquid faster.
4
Crank the egg beater to spin the paddle and the tubing. Depending on how much liquid you're separating and what type it is, you may have to adjust your spinning time. For blood centrifuging, a time of 10 minutes is fairly standard.

After you finished the above four steps, you will get a mini centrifuge at your home. No matter it is a mini or small one, it is indeed made by yourself, and in some aspects, the centrifuge is good for your life. If you want to make a decanter centrifuge by yourself, the above information is a good advice for your guidance.

Special 7 Outstanding Features for XBSY New Decanter Centrifuge

XBSY Solvedrilling LW series decanter centrifuge is used in separating suspension of solid phase for drilling mud and fluids handling. It is built for oilfield and industrial services, especially for those environmentally sensitive areas.

XBSY Solvedrilling decanter centrifuge delivers high fluid-recovery rates and efficient solids control to significantly reduce the costs of makeup fluids and disposal. The centrifuge is precision –balanced for smooth operation over long periods at speeds of 0 to 3900 RPM, generating centrifugal forces up to 3000G’s, which is enough for handing with every oil or gas drilling work.

The Features of Solvedrilling Decanter Centrifuge

1.  Innovative design includes longer bowl for increased retention time, resulting in drier solids and finer cut points.
2.  Big bowl Big Volume, high G force available.
3.   Stainless steel bowl, scroll, compartment and cover resist corrosion and provide long service life.
4.  Tungsten carbide scroll points with wide spacing flights at tapered end create a finer layer of conveyed solids for consistent, uniform separation and maximum solids control efficiency.
5.  German FAG or Sweden SKF Brand Bearings.
6.  Electrical Components: SIEMENS/Schneider ATEX or IEC Ex for option.

7.  Screw pump & Centrifugal pump feeding pump option available to meet different application.
